All right,I am officially 20 now.20 years..and this year can seriously be considered as one of the most memorable one.Don't misunderstand that it's all because of the sad incident that happened. It's more than that.
When I was 18,I went overseas and that's my very first time learning how to take care of myself, how to talk to strangers and make friends with them.I became independent,I realised how blissful to have family by my side taking care of me,I realised how much I love my family and friends back in Malaysia.I came to a place which is totally different from Malaysia.I stayed out of my comfort zone and gained a totally new experience.I got to know many friends from different countries, and lucky enough to know a gang of good friends from college.I remember how much fun I had with the college friends, broke the curfew, hanged out together as a big group everyday.I met Elvin and I started to learn how to get along with someone I love other than my family.I finally decided on the pathway I want to go and chose the future I want.18,a new stage of my life.
Now,I am 20 years old.I am still in Melbourne.I am a second year uni student.I am half way through my degree.I am enjoying uni life.I am doing things I love and joining SALP is definitely one of the best part of my uni life.I got to know many wonderful people.Just like what Jalene said, from wearing specs to contact lenses, from college to uni, from this to that bla bla bla,I have grown up.I dare not to say that I know a lot of things but I am learning.I listen to advices and opinions from those who are more experienced.I continue exploring the world, knowing more people, making more friends.I learn to pick up myself.I understand how my family and friends love me.I went through a hard time at the beginning of the semester, perhaps not completely fine yet,but I don't hate anyone or anything for that to happen.Everything happens for a reason. There are both positive and negative sides over anything. So which side should I take?We know the answer, don't we?For me,it's important that we don't regret over any decisions we made.I always tell myself, think twice before doing anything.Life is not a tape which can be played back or paused. So don't let yourself have the chance of regretting over anything. And I am glad that I don't regret over any of my decisions so far,no matter it's coming overseas, studying in Melbourne uni, doing actuarial studies,or got into a relationship with him.
For everyone I have ever met,for everything which has ever happened,no matter it's good or bad, thanks for making me a better person.
For people who love me,thanks for caring and supporting me all the time.
For people who have ever hurt me,thanks for teaching me how to be strong enough to face the challenges in life.
For all the good incidents which have occurred in my life, thanks for teaching me that life is still good and never stop hoping for something great.
For all the sadness I have ever faced, thanks for telling me that people need to go through up and downs in life.
For myself, thanks for being who you are.
